Mahatari Vandan Scheme: Overview and Application Details

Raipur, July 6, 2025 – The Mahatari Vandan Yojana, launched by the Chhattisgarh government on March 1, 2024, aims to empower women by providing monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 (totaling Rs. 12,000 annually) to eligible married, widowed, divorced, and abandoned women above 21 years. The scheme targets over 69 lakh women, with the 17th installment of Rs. 647.66 crore recently transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts as of July 1, 2025.

To apply, eligible women can visit the official portal at https://mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in/. The application process involves online registration, where applicants need to provide details such as Aadhaar-linked bank account information and other required documents. Offline applications can also be submitted at nearby Anganwadi centers or Panchayat Bhawans.

Regarding the next installment, the 18th installment is expected to be released between August 1 and August 10, 2025, based on the pattern of previous disbursements, which typically occur between the 1st and 10th of each month. However, an official confirmation from the government is awaited.
