“Love’s Bargain”
In whose heart resides the love of truth,
A path willing to sacrifice for virtue.
Without contemplation, blow away the world,
Break the bonds of mediocrity and convention.
Create new pathways within your veins,
Ignite astonishing storms anew.
Indeed, create a new world for yourself,
Awaken sweet dreams day and night.
Unperturbed by troubles, no worries remain,
For one who has nothing, nothing is less.
The trade of love is priceless, oh so precious!
Be selfless, break the chains of attachment.
When you find it, infuse the essence within,
If you’ve drunk it, be silent, utter not a word.
Love’s domain is a wondrous realm indeed!
Awaken those whose envy is boundless.
Those who melted, absorbed in fire,
Shall arise again, reborn from the ashes.
The world of love is perched high,
Rarely does one ascend to the heavens.
Yes, the ladder to the lotus’ root is steep,
Ascendant on the path of burden! Do you possess knowledge?
Have you pondered the ways of sacrifice?
Have you gathered the tools for the journey?
Without dissolution, becoming light as water,
Maintaining a step is difficult.
Love’s madness takes hold of all,
As much is lost, its intoxication increases.
In death and destruction, this is love’s ornament,
In this land, intoxication is a celebration.
While searching, what was lost is found,
That which was desired has become the seeker.
Does the inner realization not suffice?
Even the ethereal isn’t worthy of worship.
Proclaim ‘Victory to Love,’ vanquish,
Fear not, bow to the devotee, conquer.
Indeed, joy lies in melting drop by drop,
Vexation gradually kindles each knot.
One day, when the flame subsides,
Know, the beloved is near.
When impurities are cleansed by fire,
One day, the veil itself shall lift.
Alas! Even now the world lacks understanding,
Love remains easy for those who comprehend.
When a flower blooms within the calyx,
We seek it joyfully in its splendor.
Without binding petals, what is the crown?
Can anyone be content without love?
The nectar of love, once tasted, cannot be lived without,
Can love be truly experienced without living it?
One may meet oneself entwined in ashes,
A true hero, rare as one in a hundred thousand.
Life is nothing if not given in exchange,
Love’s mark is best made through simple sacrifice.”
